HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY ZACK!

This weekend we went to my cousin Zack's first birthday party.  This was not just any birthday party... this was a BRAZILIAN first birthday party... here are a few pics I took with my cell phone (can you believe I forgot my camera again!!)

This is the first thing we saw when we walked into the church ... (Yes the party was held in a church building, I don't think their home would have held all the big clown balloons)

This was front and center, a big sign that says Zack and balloons everywhere.  The hired photographer took a picture of our family with Zack here.  I will have to post that when I get it.

There was even a clown there to paint faces and make balloon animals etc. for the kids... Brooke and I stood in line to get our faces painted for a while and we almost made in the the front, but when I turned around and saw about ten kids half my size behind me, I decided I should let them have a turn first.  Needless to say the line never died down, so I never got my face painted. :(

Christmas Time!

We started off our Christmas celebrating in St. George with Cody's cousins at the Annual Palmer Cousin Christmas Party.  We had fun spending the weekend with most of Cody's siblings and spouses.  I remembered to bring my camera, but when I got there I realized the batteries were dead so no pictures :(

Cody and I had fun decorating our apartment for Christmas.  We brought back three small trees and some light and other Christmas decor from Thanksgiving.  And for Family night a few weeks ago, we had a blast at Honk's (a dollar store just down the street from us)  We found the cute stockings you see hanging on the wall in the picture.

We are excited for Christmas and the gifts we have to give.  We are also excited that finals are over!  Cody and I did really well this semester!  One more to go for me :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!

THANKSGIVING!

Thanksgiving break was a lot of fun this year.  My dad and I kicked it off by making homemade pies together, a tradition we have not done for a few years.  Brooke and mom helped by finding things like pie tins and flour, but mostly they just stood by and watched us do what we do.

 The final product!  I made the chocolate cream pie in the middle of my dad's two delicious Pecan pies.

Alyce and Jason's house looked beautiful.  They worked really hard at making a table big enough for everyone to sit at.

I tried to get Zack to smile at me, but he only does his big smile for the red light before the flash, and my camera didn't have a red light :(

Thanksgiving was great!  Thanks to everyone and their hard work!!!

My mom, Brooke, and I went shopping on Black Friday and got a good start for Christmas and tonight (Saturday) Cody and I are going to see The Nutcracker to kick off the Christmas season.  I am so excited!!!

New Moon!

Cody and I went to the Midnight showing of New Moon last night.  Cody was such a good sport about it, even though he was one of only three guys in the theater.  We went to the theater in Providence and it was so much better then Logan.  There were not a ton of people, so even thought we only got there an hour early we still got good seats where as our friends, who got to the Logan theater three and a half hours early were craning their necks the whole time.

Before we left our apartment, I pulled out my big movie theater purse so we could stuff the goods in it to take to the movie.

This is kind of a gross picture, but it is the only one we took, so this is what you get.

Now, I am team Edward to the end, but I do have to say, Jacob looked 100 times better with out his shirt on then Edward did.  Cody thinks he is team Jacob, but that's just because a lot of people have told him he looks like Jacob.  :)

I can't wait for Eclipse, I heard it comes out this summer, so I don't have to wait a whole year this time! 

Rock Climbimg

Cody went climbing with our friend Dan yesterday.  I'm glad the weather was warm enough to go, he had been looking forward to climbing for a long time.  Cody had a great time.  Here are some pictures of his adventure.

BAKKER BASH 2009!

This years Bakker Bash Halloween party was super fun!  My aunt Kristen always plans fun games (none of which my team won) and everyone dresses up in their ghoulish best!  My dad always has the costume to beat.  Before my dad got to the party Sam said "I can't wait see what Uncle Roy's costume"

Wonderful Husband!

I just wanted to take a minute to brag about my wonderful husband.

Last week he was called in to work on his day off, so I didn't get to see him as much as I had wanted to.  When he did finally get off work he came home and surprised  me with this beautiful bouquet!

But that's not all, next he pulled these out of his pocket...

It's kinda hard to read, but these are tickets to the Midnight Showing of NEW MOON!  I am so excited.  How many husbands would go to the Midnight showing of a total chick movie???  Mine would.  He went with me to the Midnight showing of Twilight last year too.  I love that Cody is me Best Friend!

Home Sweet Home!

Cody and I are living in Logan while I finish up school.  My family has not had the chance to come up and visit yet so I thought I would post some pictures of our cute apartment.  We love our apartment.  It is really big compared to others we looked at for the same price.  We are so spoiled, there is no way we will ever be able to find such a steal of a deal on an apartment when we move to SLC.

Cody got this Fooseball table for Christmas last year.  It has been his year long project.  I really hope it is finished by Christmas!  He has repainted everything you can see in the picture,and many more repairs, now all thats left is to shine up the rods and paint the men or buy new ones.  It has been a fun project for him.

As you can tell, we are very proud of our purchase.

Hello Friends and Family!
I have decided to join the Blog World and am excited to be here.  I don't know how good of a blogger I will be but this could be fun.  I am totally new to this whole thing so let me know of any tricks you have picked up.

Cody and I got married May 9 of this year.  It was a beautiful day and everything went perfectly!
