Meet Aspen

On May 30th at 6 a.m. I called labor and delivery to see if they were ready for me to start my induction.  They said they were really busy and to call back at 8.  When I called at 8 they said they were ready for me any time.  Although we were mostly all packed to go it still took us about an hour to get ready.  In the rush I asked Conner to go get dresses, not really thinking he would.  I thought he might pick out a shirt to wear.  I love when that boy listens so well to me :)  He came back upstairs wearing this!  I helped him a little with the shorts/  I wasn't about to get his a different matching outfit after he did exactly what I asked him to.  This is our last family picture before baby Aspen.  We dropped Conner off with my mom and headed into the hospital.

We took pictures on all kinds of devices so the pictures are all out of order.  Conner came to visit in the hospital the next morning with Grandma and Grandpa Perkins.  He didn't really like that I was in the hospital bed.  He didn;t pay much attention to me or the baby.

Going home from the hospital at 10 PM May 31st.  Just 24 hours old.  I couldn't wait to get home and be with Conner and sleep in my own bed.

This poster was waiting for us on our garage door.  It was given to my parents after I was born.

It was love at first sight for these two.  Conner can't get enough of Aspen.  She is all he talks about.  He wants to know where she is at all times.  Especially when he wakes up in the morning and when he gets picked up from day care.

I took Conner to the pool for some one on one time with him.  We had a great time.  I can't wait for Aspen to be able to play hard with him.

This is how we do church

We made our first trip to Delta last weekend.  Conner got to ride the wave runner for the first time.  He loves it.  I'm so glad he is a water boy.

We took him to the indoor pool for a birthday celebration.  He loved it!  Didn't want to leave.

What would I do without this kid!  He keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh all day long.  He is such a big boy getting ready for his baby sister.

• He has a new room in the basement and loves it down there.  
• Conner loves to dance and sing songs.
• Fav song to dance to is "Happy"
• Fav song to sing is "Book of Mormon Stories"
• He has become so friendly, he says "HI" to everyone he sees walking or driving by
• Loves to "Water Ski" with Opa
• Can always get a treat out of Grandma
• Loves to throw balls and play out side
• He goes to nursery by himself now, even when grandma is not there yet
• Put himself in time out yesterday

We love you Conner, with all our heart.
