Happy Half Birthday to Conner

We survived Conner's first cold.  He was miserable for about a week.  It was the saddest thing I have ever seen.  The good part about it was that he let me just hold him and cuddle with him.  I loved that.

We have so much fun playing together.  Isn't he the cutest!?

His first time in the big boy seat at the grocery store...

He did great, but started to fall over a couple of times.

Conner with Brooke, my mom, and me at the Pancake House in Park City.  We had a fun trip.  Conner was so patient with us while we shopped and rode the Alpine Slide.

Cute boy after his bath

I went through Conner's clothes again.  Everything you see here fits him right now!  We love our cousins Noah and Caden.  Thanks for spoiling us!

Cousin Kate was taking picture with my phone.  This is one of hers.

They are growing too fast!  Conner and Wyatt, about 5 1/2 Months

This is how Conner has to sleep these days.  He just needs something to hold on to and stuff his face in... Just like his daddy :)

Cody and I had a fun date night at the Real Game this month.  And afterward...

Leatherby's!  Love this place!
To celebrate Conner's half birthday we went and got family pictures taken...

If you know Conner, you know he is a very happy baby, well he woke up very unhappy the morning of these pictures and was ornery all day.  While we were waiting for our photographer he spit up on his vest... you might also know that Conner rarely spits up...

But as you can see, everyhting worked out.  Conner put his melt-your-heart-smile on his face and the pictures turned out great!

This is our favorite

  • Conner weighs 19 LBS  80%
  • 28" Tall  80%
  • Conner started saying "Da Da" a couple weeks ago.  His dad is so proud...
  • He is getting a little bit of stranger anxiety- He will smile at you all day long, but if you try to hold him he might look back at me to make sure it's okay.
  • He is eating about everything now.  There is nothing he doesn't like
  • He is still in love with his mobile.  When I put him down for a nap he gets a big smile on his face and looks right up at his mobile.  And every morning the first thing we do is play with the mobile.  He likes to touch it.
  • Conner is teething and some days he just does not feel good
  • He would rather play with plastic bags or packages that his toys come in then the toys.  Oh and he LOVES newspaper.
  • He only slept through the night once last month... we need to work on that.
  • He loves to play with his daddy...he always makes Conner laugh
  • He loves books and I think he is going to be a good singer!

They are going to be best buds.

First time eating solids

Not too sure about it...

The very next day trying rice cereal again... Couldn't get enough, he already thought he could feed himself.

Cody and I went to the Temple to see Lisa and Kevin get married.  So fun!

It took 4 tries to get this self portrait

It it were up to Conner he would be dressed like this every day!

We went to visit Great Oma and Opa

Playing  Klap eens in je handjes with Opa an Great Ope

We had a fun day at the Brigham City Temple open house earlier this week.  Conner was a perfect angel.  I wish I had counted how many people told me how cute/smiley/ happy he was.  Almost every single usher at the Temple played with him and Conner gave everyone of them a great big smile!
"If babies could talk, heaven would have no secrets"

Conner and Great Grandma in front of the Temple

He bits his lower lip a lot lately

It's hard to get him to look at the camera when there are boys riding their bikes or cars driving by outside.

There's all the boys on their bikes.  They like to come play with Conner when we are outside.

We had to go to the doctor yesterday because Conner is feeling really yucky.  He is miserable.  Cody and I HATE it!  He is having trouble breathing and sleeping.  We wish we could take it away from him.  He is so sweet though.  He doesn't cry too much, just makes sad sounds and looks right at me like he is saying "What is wrong with me mom?"

  • 17 LBS,   27" Long
  • He is rolling a lot more now, it's getting more difficult to change his diaper
  • He has to be holding something when he goes to sleep- a lot like his dad
  • He is sitting up on his own now
  • He always talks to himself right before he falls asleep
  • He has slept through the night 4 times- I hope we get back to sleeping through the night when his cold is gone
  • Loves to jump in his excersaucer
  • He has eaten Rice, Oatmeal, Squaush, Peas, Banannas, and pears.  I think he likes peas the best... well he like all food.
  • He has been going to daycare, but we don't love it - so if you want to watch him let me know :)

4 Months

I love my Happy Boy!

Conner was teasing me when I was trying to get him to roll from his tummy to his back.  He would go this far and jut look at me like he is saying "Mom, I could do this if I wanted to...but I don't!"

We went to watch Cody and Brooke play tennis.  Cody wanted to practice in preparation for my work tennis tourney and for anyone that knows me knows I can't play tennis!

Cody gave Conner his first hair cut right before the Packsize party.  Now we know where Conner gets the tongue thing... it's not just from grandpa Larry :)

Cody is the BEST DAD!  This is at the Packsize summer party, they were giving out awards and Conner did not like it when everyone would clap.  So Cody took him away from the crowd.

The party was super fun, everyone loved Conner, but we didn't win any of the awesome raffle prizes.

Cody played in a tournament with my boss.  The took 2nd place.  The CEO and his son won.

My little boy is four months old!  He loves to be outside!

He thinks grass is the coolest thing ever!

  • Conner is 25.7" tall and 16.5lbs.  88%  for both.
  • He can roll from his tummy to his back and his back to his tummy, he just doesn't want to most of the time :)
  • He is always chewing on his thumb these days and won't take the binky anymore...what am I going to do.
  • Conner is so interested in everything!  He loves facing forward in the Moby wrap.  He just watches everything I am doing.  We did laundry and made cookies the other day.
  • When he cries there are a few things you can do
    • Take him outside
    • Give him a bath-He is good at splashing these days
    • Take off his diaper
    • or let him watch TV- This is an absolute last resort, Conner is not allowed to watch TV
  • His little laugh is SO cute- It is coming out more and more
  • The doc gave us the okay to start solids so we are going to try some cereal tonight.  I'm excited.  I'm sure we will have some fun pictures.  My mom said "I already know he is going to love it"  he has been so interested in what we put in our mouths.  He is definitely ready for this :)
  • He knows his mom and dad for sure and we are pretty sure he knows grandma B and maybe opa too.
What a cute boy we have and we love him so much!  It didn't take long for his uncle Shane to fall in love with him too.   Shane has been gone all summer in Mississippi so he just saw Conner when he was newborn.  He even watched Conner for us all day yesterday while I went to work.
