From a House to a HOME

On February 2nd (My Birthday), Cody and I made a offer on this beautiful house.  A few days later we received a counter offer we couldn't refuse.  Before the final papers we signed we had few problems with a water leak and it took a little longer than we had hoped to close, but we finally made this home ours on March 25th 2011.  As soon as possible after closing we had A LOT to do.

With the help of our WONDERFUL FAMILY we were able to lay carpet, tile and get all moved in within 5  DAYS.
Cody started out by ripping out all the existing carpet, linoleum, and tile... (a much larger task than anticipated)
Master Bedroom

 Sami helped prepare for tile
My Dad helped SO MUCH!  Cody said to me several times "Your dad saved my life!  I would never have been able to do it without him"

Me cutting holes for the vents (Much less important work)
Regina and Toby even helped out a little :)
Shane and Larry- Expert Tile Cutters

Thanks Treasa, for making our baseboards SPARKLE!

The long tiling process
 Next for the Carpet
Thank You Fawson's.  We LOVE IT!!!
Grout by Cody

Time to move in!
We had a lot of help from the whole Williams fam, the Perkins boys and Larry

I Love this picture.  All the kids were so eager to help.  They kept asking me what they could take in next.

...lots of junk...
Starting to look like a home.
My mom helped me do some unpacking

We love our new home in Stansbury Park!
Thanks again to everyone for so much help!  We really appreciate you!!!

Birthday Celebrations

Now everyone knows what an awesome husband I have.  Isn't he the sweetest!  I didn't know I had so many blog readers... I never get so many comments.

My sweet husband helped in giving me a fantastic birthday.

We stared off with a party for Sami and I at my parents house with a few Aunts and Uncles and Grandma and Grandpa.
This is my cute little cousin Zack

We gave Sami a Zeeb foot massager!

What a fun family party.  Thanks for a yummy dinner and generous gifts!

Morning of Febuary 2nd... too early!
Cody always spoils me.
Everything I wanted! Cody, You're the best!

I went to work that morning and was surprised with these...
Beyond Glaze...One of my new FAVORITES!

When I got home from work the surprises kept coming.  This was the first thing I saw when I walked in the door!

I was so excited Cody finished the frame he started last year.  It is beautiful!

Later that night we went to Leatherby's for some birthday ice cream.
This next picture is for my sister Brooke.
One of the best I have had!

The party is not over yet!  Super Bowl Sunday we celebrated with the Perkins!
We had a big birthday party for Kelsey, Devin, and I.

I have not had my name on a cake this cute for a long time.  Good work Amanda!

Kelsey got the same massager as Sami.  They are activated by putting weight on them.  Cute little Brynlee wasn't heavy enough to start them.  She stuck her little bum out hoping to maker herself heavier... Looks like Jennifer had to help a little.  We got a good laugh.

What a fun Birthday! Thanks Perkins Sisters for Cute PJ's and Jewelry, Amanda and Devin did great picking them out.

The Greatest Wife EVER!

This is my first attempt to ever blog, so try not to judge too much.

I have the greatest wife in the world.  She is amazing, wonderful, terrific, dazzling, radiant, perfect and many many other things.  I have felt an overwhelming amount of gratitude the last little while for Alexa and I want the world to know how great she is and how much I love her.

Alexa is the breadwinner right now for our little family.  This has given me many feelings, ranging from gratitude to shame.  I am so thankful to have a wife that has received her education and that supports me to go to school and get mine.  At the same time I feel like I am not doing my job to provide for her.  She works so hard at her job and seems to take on more and more responsibilities everyday.  The past two months she has easily been working at least fifty hours a week, with a couple nights working all the way till 9:00.  I am sure that many of you are thinking right now "dang she must be making bank", well you would be wrong, she is on salary and therefore receives no overtime.  She does all this extra work because she is, plain and simple, a good hard worker.

Not only does she work so hard at her job but she works hard at home.  I try to keep up a lot of the house work but Alexa still does her part.  Every morning she wakes up early to go through and pick up any little messes that we might have made the day before.

But wait there is still more...

Remember this???

This is proof of Alexa's Patience with me
For those who don't know this is one of Alexa's birthday presents...  From last year.  I had this grand plan to make her this frame for this Family Proclamation that I get her. Well ONE year later that is all that she wanted for her birthday again.  I am glad to say that she did receive her finished frame.  This truly shows how patient Alexa is with me.  She brought it up a few times but mostly didn't say too much about me slacking on it.  ( I don't know how to add pics on here so your just stuck with what Alexa already had saved. I am sure she will put one of the finished frame later)

One thing that Alexa does on a regular basis is makes me laugh.  Sometimes I laugh at her others we laugh together, but whatever I am laughing at, if it involves Alexa in any way then you know that I am truly having fun and loving life.

Alexa lovingly cuts my hair whenever I ask.  I know that she hates it and that I am not the easiest person to deal with yet she still does it.

This is the first time that she ever did it, I am sure if she could go back she would have never had me teach her.

Alexa also has to be one of the greatest sisters I know.  I grew up with some pretty amazing sisters and Alexa fits right in with the Amazing sisters club.
She is always worried about her sisters and loves to do things with them.  She would do almost anything for these guys and I think that says a lot about her.

Among all these great things Alexa fits with me perfectly.  One thing that I am very proud of is being the favorite uncle the one that plays with all the nieces and nephews.  You know the one that gets them all wild.  Well Alexa is becoming the favorite aunt.

These two little ones love her to pieces and sometimes I think a little too much.  They have lots of fun together.

Devin also loves Alexa and knows that she will play any games that he asks her too.  They are supposed to play Candy Land but Devin always forgets to bring it out when he comes.  But he tells Alexa almost every time sorry and that he will bring it next time.  It's really cut.

I am even more grateful for this then one might think because as I get older I feel like I am losing some ground with the kids ( I run out of energy a lot faster) but with Alexa being my wife she wins me a few extra points.

With all this there is one thing that is just the cherry on top I guess you could say.  Alexa has given me the one thing that makes my worries and stress go away.  She gave me water skiing.  Although I had water skiied before I met Alexa it is because of her (and her family) that I fell in love with it and get to do it often in the summer.  And it truly is my get away, the one thing that can make everything go away and make me the happiest guy around.  I am sure that it is because I am with Alexa most the time when we go too.

Who wouldn't love a girl who can do this!

I could go on and on but I am sure most of you have already stopped reading this.  Alexa makes me a much better man and there is one thing for sure, I wouldn't be who I am without her.  I am so in love with her and feel like this doesn't even come close to express the gratitude that I have for her and all the great things she does.  She simply amazes me with all that she does.

I love you Alexa!
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING

December/January Review

I'm a little behind in the blogging world... this past week I worked 51 hours and I am exhausted, but I always look forward to the weekends with Cody... he makes a fun date.  I can't remember the last time I laughed as hard as we did last night!

Here is what we have been up to that has not quite made it to the blog...
December 7th, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!  We got to go out the THE ROOF with my parents and Grandparents for mom's birthday.
What a beautiful view!  Please note these were taken with the OLD camera... now you know why I asked for a new one.

New Years EVE

New Years Day Bowling with Jason and Tonya

My Niece Marissa and I at Costco

Snowmobiling with Micheal and Michele at the Immaculate Bishop family cabin.
This is Cody's excited face!  What a blast!  Can't wait to party again.

We only got stuck a few times :)

Michael and Michelle took a little fall.  They were good sports about taking the lead even though this led to Michael's foot being pinned... don't worry, Michelle came to the rescue.
Thanks for a Super Fun Weekend!

And last but not least...
